great escape to boracay

Hi everyone (^^)
I'm back from Boracay! Spent 6 days there (actually 4 full days in Boracay); Nov 30 to Dec 5 - the first and last days were spent travelling. We considered ourselves very lucky as a typhoon had just left Boracay on the day we arrived, and on the day we left, a super typhoon was bound for Boracay - so we had good weather while we were there.

If you were wondering, Boracay is a small island in the Philippines with white beaches and really really clear water (we had a lot of fun while we were there) - probably one of the best beaches I've been to so far woohoo

We reached Boracay at night due to the bad weather at Kalibo so we didn't manage to get a good view of the sea because it was very dark when we arrived.

On our first day there, we tried out quite a fair bit of activities.

We did helmet diving in the morning - they basically place this 22kg helmet on our shoulders with a tube supplying air to you while you're 3 metres underwater (IT WAS VERY COOL)

After helmet diving we went banana boating woots
Our parents went on a different boat from us because they didn't want to go fast like us haha
Cheryl and my sis fell off the banana boat LOL v funny

We decided to do the ATV in the afternoon (which is this vehicle that looks like a motorbike but has four wheels?? idk HAHA) but I rode the buggy because I didn't want to crash LOL

We rode up to the top of this mountain with a really good bird's eye view of the whole Boracay

We rode back down the mountain to the theme park where we came from (but was shut down due to the recent typhoon) and I managed to try out the ATV \o/ it was super fun
Saw two adorable cats at the theme park

Tried out this sky cycling thingy
(I like the lighting here very much hurhur)

We were back in time to catch our first sunset in Boracay
IT WAS BEAUTIFUL

For our second day, we went island hopping (actually we only went to one island LOL) and snorkelling.

Snorkelling!!

We stopped at Crystal Cove Island for lunch

Headed over to Cove 1

On the way to Cove 2

Cove 2 - we had to crawl through this airy tunnel to get there

It was late afternoon by the time we finished our lunch :-D
After washing up at the hotel, we went to the beach to catch our second sunset -
Us in the sea

Our third day there -
Morning at the beach

(first time scanning polaroids - sorry for the bad quality eek)

After breakfast we went banana boating (again) LOL

We went parasailing afterwards - THIS IS SOMETHING YOU HAVE TO DO IF YOU'RE IN BORACAY
(All these pictures taken by my dad)

Went sunset sailing
(camera was with my dad because super scared it would fall into the water)
Sunset that evening wasn't particularly nice as clouds shrouded the sky and blocked the sun out

Had dinner at Aria restaurant and shared a surprise cake with Uncle Liangsheng (it was his birthday that day)

Our fourth and last full day in Boracay was spent eating and paddle-boarding - because it was predicted that the typhoon was to hit on that day :-(

Went to this fruitshake store in the streets of Boracay
The streets were pretty narrow and messy - unlike the white beaches we spent our previous days at
(I had lemon milkshake while I was at the store - it was good and worth the walk there)
Back in time to catch our last, and unarguably, most beautiful sunset in Boracay
(we didn't expect this since an arriving typhoon meant bad weather - the photos are self-explanatory)

This spectacular sunset was a good ending to our adventure at Boracay

This whole trip to Boracay was very excitable and I honestly won't mind going back again HAHA
The amazing sunsets there and the wide variety of activities make the trip worthwhile, so I think you should definitely visit Boracay at least once in your life \o/
Thankful for the great company of family and friends who made the trip very enjoyable •͈ᴗ•͈
(thank you to my dad and mom for helping me capture some of the moments here :-D)
I hope you're enjoying your holiday too :-) See you in the next post >>>
