urban jungle

Hello friends! (•͈⌔•͈)
Yesterday, Shi Huan and I visited the city to take some shots of Singapore (mostly around the CBD area). It was a fun yet tiring trip because we did most of our travel on foot - but it was worth it :D

We started our journey at Clarke Quay
Clarke Quay was in bright colours as usual

Singapore River

We walked from Clarke Quay to the Fullerton Hotel

Outside the Asian Civilisations Museum

Central Business District

We had a really good view of Marina Bay Sands

It has been quite some time since we went up close to the Merlion :-)

Took a break at this Starbucks shop because it was hot outside and our feet were aching
It was really cozy in there :D

These were balls for people to write new year wishes and were to be floated at Marina Bay and we saw a ball dedicated to NYAV from our batch'14 seniors :-) !!!

Double helix bridge + Marina Bay Sands

Obligatory shot with the christmas tree HAHA

We had lunch at the MBS foodcourt - which was poked holes in our wallets but we had no choice because it was raining outside AND WE WERE HUNGRY (but lunch was good!!!)
Shi Huan's Pepper Lunch :-)

Closeups of waterlilies in the pond outside the ArtScience Museum

Found another christmas tree in MBS - us in a bauble

We actually planned to pay a quick visit to Gardens By the Bay but the rain didn't seem to be stopping so we decided it would be good to visit Orchard to do some street photography.
(Went there via MRT because our feet died)
The rain didn't stop when we were at Orchard either so we went to IONSky to rest our tired feet :D
IONSky is 55 levels (218 metres) above the ground so it gives you a pretty clear view of the cityscape.
Kind of a shame it was raining while we were up there oh well .-.
(IONSky is open from 10am to 8pm)

We went to Scape for dinner (Mcdonalds again, as usual) and started hunting for an overhead bridge to take light trails (but no luck because there weren't any overhead bridges)
 ⑉・̆⌓・̆⑉
So we settled with taking light trail photos by the road.
Taken by Shi Huan!

The results were quite good to me considered it was our very first try HAHA
We shot these at the crossroads so many pedestrians judged us LOL but I guess it was worth it :D

We wanted to go back to IONSky to take some pictures of the cityscape at night but it was closed because we were blur and didn't check the closing time /crey T-T

This made a really ideal place to do light trail shots but it was impractical to go back to MBS from Orchard at such a late hour so we didn't do it (but we may be going back in December!!!)
Thanks to Shi Huan for such an enjoyable day =^・ェ・^=
(Sidenote - I'll be off to Boracay next week woohoo super excited and currently praying for good weather there!)
I hope you like the shots from yesterday's trip! See you in the next post >>>
