streets of penang

Had a short getaway to Penang this week (7-10 December) and had a lot of fun exploring the streets of Penang and trying out good (and cheap) food.
We stayed at 23 Lovelane (a boutique hotel with 10 rooms) and it was very very spacious and cozy (biggest toilets and showering areas HAHAHA)

When we reached Penang (a short 1+ hour flight from Singapore) it was lunchtime so we set out to find cheap good food along Penang's streets.
Teksen Restaurant
18 Lebuh Carnarvon, Georgetown

After having lunch, we visited Khoo Kongsi temple (one of the many clan houses found around Penang - this temple is the grandest amongst them)

gardens by the bay x christmas wonderland

(This post will be a combination of two outings because I visited the same place twice in a week)

Friday, November 27
Visited Gardens By the Bay once more with Huan bubz!! (this is like our second or third time at Marina Bay area smh) But outings with her never seem to get boring so yep this experience was still very fun nonetheless.
(ps look out for our accidental outfit twinning! HAHAHA so embarrassing man)

Water Lily pond just outside Bayfront MRT - spent a good 10 minutes photographing the dragonflies
(I think we looked super noob)

Found this little pathway sheltered by trees
We were supposed to do the flower pose thing and look into each other's eyes - and we failed smh

When I poked Huan's nose instead of her cheek HAHAHAHA

Taken by Huan's friend Megan !!! Fav photo from today

coney island adventures

Amanda and I visited Coney Island again on Wednesday so we could complete our adventure (because we only explored like one third of the island previously) and it was still pretty fun :-) Also we made it to the other entrance of Coney Island (without cycling hurhur keeping fit)
We started off on the main path but eventually got distracted (??) and decided to cut through this dense vegetation (wow @ our logic) but it was quite fun!!

You Are In Love & Clean
“ And I think that its important to remember as we're going through this world as it exists in 2015, there are so many ways that people can criticise you. So many ways people can tell you you're not good enough. I think it's important to remember that whether you live in the US or whether you live in Singapore, or somewhere else, its still the same. You are not the opinion of somebody who doesn't know you or care about you. The sooner we can realise that it's only people who care about us and actually love us that matter, it's only their opinions that should count, I think it's the moment we're closer to being happy in our lives. And honestly, it's like when you let in the opinions of people who don't care about you or are just trying to hurt you, I think that it feels like you've got these insults or these insecurities and these doubts written all over you. All the time. But the moment you can start to separate those opinions out, and realise they don't matter to you as much, I think that's the moment you look in the mirror and you don't see those insecurities written all over yourself anymore. And in that moment, you're clean.

Love Story
I loved this so much - the whole atmosphere was so magical
